New coaching features in KULG

We’ve just rolled out a number of exciting updates that help save the time of busy coaches and make athlete management simpler and faster - training blocks for season planning, athlete dashboard, and copying weekly group plans. All features are available on mobile web. Mobile apps currently include free features only.

Training blocks

KULG now offers a way to plan training with more structure across macro-, meso- and micro-cycles, adding clarity, context, and better coach-athlete collaboration both on desktop and mobile apps.

Training blocks make it possible to build a full seasonal overview and organise training into clear phases over time. Both coaches and runners with a paid subscription can now add blocks in Plans & goals:

🎯 Training blocks (e.g. base, race-specific, taper) for longer training phases
📈 Weekly cycles (e.g. high, medium, low load weeks) for micro-cycle structure
🌴 Context blocks (e.g. vacation, work trip, illness, injury) to add real-life context

My athletes - new coach home

A centralised view of all athletes with key weekly metrics like distance and training time, making it easier to monitor athletes’ progress at a glance. Tap or click an athlete’s name to access their dashboard, activities, and plans & goals. Inviting new runners also became a bit easier - coaches can do it directly from this page (including via the + icon on mobile).

Copy weekly plans in seconds

Any training plan can now be copied for this or future weeks - coaches can make quick edits, and send the plans or updates to individual athletes or groups out instantly. Creating a training plan now takes just minutes, on desktop or mobile.

These updates mark an important step toward a more scalable, data-driven coaching experience in KULG. Planner is becoming increasingly more valuable not just for running coaches, but for coaches across different sports and sports clubs planning for larger teams.

Adding training cycles moves KULG beyond standard session planning tools by introducing a more structured, periodised approach to training. It also strengthens the value of our paid plans through deeper planning capabilities, connecting training structure, load, and real-life context in one place.
