KULG Run Club kicks off this August
Running is one of the simplest sports to begin, but progressing as a runner is rarely as simple as just running more.
Many runners struggle with consistency, wonder if they're training the right way, or find themselves caught in the cycle of pushing too hard, losing motivation, or dealing with injuries. While running with others can provide motivation, and training plans offer structure, the greatest progress happens when coaching and community come together.
That's the idea behind KULG Run Club.
More than a running group
KULG Run Club is a coaching community built for runners who want to train with purpose. Whether preparing for the first 5K, aiming to improve your half-marathon time, or simply looking for more consistency in your training, the club combines personalised coaching with the support of a motivated community.
Every runner has different goals, experience, schedules, and challenges. Rather than following the same plan as everyone else, members receive training that reflects their individual context while benefiting from training alongside others.
New groups starting in August 2026
This August, we're welcoming two new groups:
Beginner group - ideal for those new to running or returning after a break, looking to build confidence, fitness, and sustainable habits.
Advanced group - designed for runners who already train consistently and want structured coaching to improve performance and reach new goals.
Both groups follow the same coaching philosophy: evidence-based training, gradual progression, and long-term development.

Coaching that adapts to you
KULG Run Club is coached by Maris Heinaru, an EQF Level 4 certified running coach.
Maris believes effective coaching goes beyond writing training plans. It means understanding each runner's goals, listening to feedback, adapting training when life changes, and creating an environment where progress is both sustainable and enjoyable.
Alongside her running coaching qualifications, Maris holds a micro degree in functional training, allowing her to integrate strength and movement exercises that complement running and promote long-term resilience.
As Maris says:
"I believe runners improve most when training is both evidence-based and sustainable. This includes regular feedback on training and recovery as well as your general life context, great two-way communication, and trust. My goal is not just to help you run faster, but to build training habits that fit your life and keep you healthy and injury-free for years."
Who is KULG Run Club for?
KULG Run Club is for runners who share a genuine interest in developing as a runner and who are looking for more than just a training plan or group runs. You don’t need to have specific race goals yet, just a willingness to improve your running. The club is not designed as a general fitness or weight-loss programme, but for those who want to build consistency, technique, and long-term progress in running.
KULG Run Club is for runners of all experience levels, from beginners to more experienced athletes. We offer separate groups for beginner and advanced runners, ensuring each runner trains in an environment that matches their goals and ability. It's for people who value guidance, accountability, and being part of a community that celebrates consistency as much as race-day achievements.
KULG Run Club is primarily run in Estonian. However, coaching and communication is provided in English when needed, depending on the group. You do not need to speak Estonian to participate, and English-speaking runners are welcome to join.
