What’s new in KULG: Smarter planning, better insights, and a stronger start

Smart activity detection

Not every session fits in a box. That’s why KULG now automatically detects your runs by combining pace trends, heart rate zones, and distance to better reflect what’s really going on in your training.

Whether you’re pushing the pace on a recovery day or cruising through a tempo run, KULG sees the whole picture. You can still also change the run activity type manually.

KULG Planning feature

Whether you’re a runner chasing a new goal or a coach managing multiple athletes, KULG Planning feature gives your training structure, clarity, and flexibility. You can now plan, adapt, and collaborate in one intuitive space, without juggling spreadsheets or switching between tools.

Planning your race season also just got a whole lot easier. Runners in Estonia can now see all local races directly inside the KULG calendar. Just spot your next race, add it to your season, and keep on training.

Heart rate vs speed indicator on mobile

Want a simple visual cue of your aerobic fitness? We’ve added a heart rate vs speed indicator on mobile.

  • Go to your Activities view on mobile

  • Look for the green dot next to your runs

  • The darker the dot, the better your HR vs speed ratio (a sign of stronger aerobic fitness)

Use tags or activity types to compare similar runs over time and see how your fitness is evolving.

And remember: context matters. Hilly terrain, hot weather, or fatigue can all raise your heart rate and lower your speed. So a weaker ratio doesn't always mean declining fitness.

Improved activity editing flow

When you edit a past activity after filtering (by date, activity type, or tag), you’ll return exactly where you left off.

No more losing your place or starting over.

This simple fix took real time and care to get right. Thank you for your feedback. We’re listening, and more improvements are coming.

Daily run totals on mobile

Many runners split their warm-up, main run, and cool-down into separate activities. But how do you see the total distance or training intensity for the day?

In your Activities and Planning views on mobile, you'll now see:

  • Total daily run distance

  • Total high-intensity kilometers per day

We’ve also added subtle indicators to show which activities are part of a structured workout. This makes it easier to understand your training load at a glance.
